Designed by Jian Xiao and Zhenjiang Wu, the Songshan Lake Pavilion draws its inspiration from the famous landscape of the park, the art of mountains-and-waters painting, and the green land. The transparent spatial pattern and the integration of inside and outside present the aesthetics of Songshan Lake "eco-city". The reception desk area allows visitors to appreciate the greenery, creating a landscape harmony of nature and city.
The exhibition hall is a spectacle in itself. It is designed to resemble a sky full of stars with Songshan Lake sparkling beneath. The large model demonstration uses advanced hardware and software technology to create a grand and magnificent presentation. This gives the audience a new immersive exhibition experience, making the Songshan Lake Pavilion stand out from other science museums.
The design team used an elegant technique to create a modern space style. The array of columns enhances the sense of space and ceremony. The use of different materials like cement board, metal plate, and stone creates a rich texture. The space changes with the flow of sunshine between day and night, creating a different space experience and a rich and colorful poetic creative space. The exhibition appliances and the space are perfectly combined to meet the needs of various functions.
The design of the façade and exhibition wall highlights the display information and forms the visual focus. The modern minimalist graphical design is readable and full of fun, bringing joy to the exhibition experience. The exhibition hall is planned into eight themes, including an impression of Songhu, an overview of the park, a view of the future, an overall plan of development, a roaming theater, a viewing gallery, a starlight gallery, and an imagination technology.
The design team faced the challenge of integrating the elements of the natural landscape into the exhibition hall. They used rich light and shadow and a variety of materials to create a poetic exhibition space that harmonizes with the surrounding ecological environment. The design brings the scene, sunlight, and green plants into the museum, giving full play to transparent, bright, and open architectural layout features.
The Songshan Lake Pavilion is not just a science museum, but a testament to the harmonious blend of nature and technology. It is a space where visitors can immerse themselves in the beauty of nature while exploring the wonders of science and technology. The Songshan Lake Pavilion is indeed a remarkable design that showcases outstanding expertise and innovation.
